Lake Michigan Fishing Charters
Fish Wisconsin’s Lake Michigan: From Port Washington to Green Bay
Welcome to the ultimate fishing charter experience along Wisconsin’s stunning Lake Michigan coastline! Whether you’re chasing the early spring action for walleye and brown trout in Green Bay, hunting migrating coho salmon in May, or battling trophy king salmon throughout the summer, this fishery offers something special for anglers of all skill levels.
Charter Options
Salmon Fishing (May – August)
Lake Michigan’s Wisconsin shoreline comes alive from May through August as anglers chase king and coho salmon. These fish offer exhilarating fights and make for incredible table fare. Our charters focus on trolling with downriggers, planer boards, and dipsy divers, targeting salmon as they migrate closer to shore in search of baitfish. Fish average 10 to 20 pounds, with kings occasionally pushing over 30 pounds. Our season usually starts from Port Washington and we’ll move north as the salmon migrate along the coast.
Seasonal Tips: In spring, coho salmon dominate the catch, and as summer heats up, king salmon take center stage. Early mornings and late evenings are prime times to hook into these hard-fighting fish.
Green Bay Walleye & Brown Trout
As the ice melts and spring arrives in April, Green Bay transforms into a fishing hotspot. Green Bay is a versatile fishery, drawing anglers year-round for its plentiful walleye and trophy-sized brown trout. Open water season offers consistent action, with fish caught using trolling or jigging techniques. Walleye are often in the 15- to 25-inch range, while brown trout can tip the scales at over 15 pounds.
Seasonal Tips: In spring, nearshore waters are the best spots for browns and walleye, while summer fishing often shifts to deeper water. Trolling crankbaits and crawler harnesses are effective tactics throughout the season.
“Went out and did some salmon fishing with Brandon on Lake Michigan. We had a really great time! Brandon knew where the fish were. I would recommend him 100%. I’ll be doing it again.“
